Fungi that form adhesive spores (or conidia)
As they move through soil pores, nematodes may encounter these conidia.
Some of the fungi are host specific and their conidia will adhere to and infect only a few
species of nematode. Although they can be cultured on media, in the soil these fungi
are obligate parasites of nematodes and other invertebrates.
