ARF colonizing a cyst of the soybean cyst nematode, Heterodera glycines.   Note the two mycelial mats on the surface of the cyst.  The fungus penetrates the cyst wall through numerous points under the mats.  It is unknown whether the eggs within the cyst have been parasitized.

An egg of the soybean cyst nematode infected by ARF.  ARF parasitizes the eggs, females, and sedenary juveniles of this nematode.

ARF parasitizing a fourth-stage juvenile of the soybean cyst nematode.  The head of the nematode is within the root where it has established a perminant feeding site in the vascular tissue.  The tail end of the nematode is protruding from the root and is covered with mycelium.
