RESEARCH INTERESTS:

R.K. Hubbard’s research interests relate primarily to the impact of agricultural systems on soil and water quality. His past research was focused heavily on nitrate leaching to groundwater, while current research focuses on animal waste utilization and treatment. Current projects include research on dairy, swine, poultry and alligator waste utilization, with emphasis on buffer system technology where effluents are applied by overland flow.
