Agricultural Engineer, USDA-ARS, SEWRL, Athens, GA 1968 - 1969
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
J.M. Sheridan's research interests relate primarily to the hydrology of humid-region,
low-gradient watersheds, such as those of the Gulf-Atlantic Coastal Plain of the
southeastern US. His research is aimed at developing conceptual understanding of those
factors that control the hydrologic and environmental quality response characteristics of
humid-region, agricultural watersheds whose responses are highly influenced by storage in
extensive, heavily-vegetated, riparian zones.
