RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Randy's research interests include the development of the Riparian Ecosystem Management Model. This is a model that simulates the plant growth, nutrient dynamics, hydrologic and erosion dynamics in the areas separating fields in agricultural production and streams. Interests also include large-scale hydrology of Coastal Plain watersheds. This work includes the development of the statistical comparisons of rainfall-runoff for probability analysis, development of rainfall-runoff relationships and development of relationships that control the rainfall-runoff relationship. Other interests include development of improved sampling techniques and equipment for water quality investigations and manure management to minimize environmental impacts.
